The drive from St Mary to Swiftcurrent Pass Trailhead was only 22 miles and we found the parking lot at the Trailhead nearly nearly empty. Deb and I did Redrock Falls on the 21st of June (our anniversary) with overcast skies. This is a trail with frequent bear sightings so we had our senses & bear spray on hi alert!
The first marker on the trail was the Wilbur Creek. A full stream with crystal clarity and as you can imagine glacier cold. The trail is heavily wooded on both sides which encourages you to be on the alert for wildlife. Soon a side trail leads to Fishercap Lake. Many hiking blogs and social media indicated that this was an optimal location for seeing moose in the morning. Today was no the day.
