The Valley of Fire State Park<\/a> exit is 34 miles north of Las Vegas, a short drive on I-15 to Valley of Fire Highway. Entrance to the park is 14 miles after you get off the interstate. Here the Mohave desert has abundant solar fields along the highway, and plenty of roller coaster dry washes to drive through as you near the park. The road bears left as you pass the Muddy Mountains Wilderness Area. You will see the landscape become hilly with longer dips in the road as the erosion is the washes are much more significant.<\/h4>\n

At the Park entrance, off in the distance you will see the magnificence of the color and shapes of Valley of Fire State Park. Deb and I have made numerous day trips for sightseeing, a couple more for day hikes and we even had our RV here for almost a week. These are the hikes we accomplished in 2023. We expect we will be “Back for more in 24”.<\/h4>\n
